Ni Jui Hung.
She committed to becoming a “Chinese fairy” artist. Born in Taipei, She currently work in Taipei as a professional illustrator, and am also engaged in installation art, drawing being my primary art medium. She have MFA in Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA), majoring in Multi- media. Her works feature bold uses of colors, elements of black humor, slightly nostalgic, fusing aspects of Taiwan’s everyday life to present or mock various social phenomena e.g., gender issues, folk beliefs and the media.
倪瑞宏,是一名立志成為中華仙女的藝術家,臺北出生,目前也工作在臺北,主要創作媒材為繪畫、空間裝置,同時是一名專業插畫家。2017年臺北藝術大學美術研究所畢業,主修複合媒體。她的作品色彩鮮豔大膽,喜愛在作品放入黑色幽默元素,帶有點懷舊,並融合台灣日常民間元素,來呈現我所看到的性別、民間信仰、媒體傳播等各種社會現象嘲解。

倪瑞宏的創作方式不斷從生活周遭獲得刺激與啟發,部分為周圍朋友們的故事但主要還是以他自身經驗為主體,故事內容的來源與「自我」有關,此種類似「私小說」的繪畫書寫方式讓倪瑞宏的作品亦可被視為個人寫實主義的一種體現。
Ni Jui-hung’s creative methods have consistently drew inspiration from her surroundings. Partly, she was inspired by the stories of her friends, but mostly by her own personal experiences. The content of her own stories is about the “self”. Ni’s confessional painting drews a great similarities to the genre of I-Novels, Ni’s works can be seen as representations of personal realism.

倪的作品多為橫幅、獨特的移動式視角構圖與西方單點透視法截然不同。橫幅與長卷特別適合表現順流而來、一瀉千里的江山景色、宋代王希孟的《千里江山圖》更是逾十米之長,中國畫的比例實堪世界上獨一無二的創造、文人藉由這種特殊比例勾勒出`可遊'、`可居'的移動視點能讓畫家們在不同時間, 從不同地點`搜盡奇峰', 然後在一幅長卷或橫披中盡情描繪出來,觀者亦可藉由「讀畫」進入畫家咫尺千里的精神世界。
Most of Ni’s works consist of horizontal scrolls. Their unique composition, with moving perspectives, differs drastically from the one-point perspective popular in the West. Horizontal scrolls and long scrolls are especially suitable for expressing magnificent scenes of rivers and mountains that expand like running water. Wang Ximeng’s painting, A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains, from the Sung dynasty extends over 10 meters. This width-to-length ratio of Chinese painting is unique. Using this special ratio, artists can depict moving perspectives that one can travel through and dwell within; painters can collect amazing views of mountains at different times and places, and then portray them all in a long or horizontal scroll. The viewer can also enter the painter’s spiritual world comprised of thousands of miles by “reading” the artists’ meters-long paintings.

倪瑞宏利用橫幅的構圖特色讓故事發展情節緩緩發展出來構成她的「私小說」。
Ni utilized the composition characteristics of a horizontal scroll to slowly develop the story plot that forms her I-Novel.

《蓬萊仙山辦事處》這件作品中,我們看到類似《百鬼夜行》的百女圖鑑,橫幅中所描繪的性工作者在虛構的夢幻空間中藉由不同扮相和儀式滿足觀者的幻想與需求。色情影像,往往被認為是一種「男性凝視」(male gaze)、

“在伯格 (John Berger) 的《看的方法》(Way Of Seeing)裡,已經評析以裸女作為一 種主要題材的西方傳統油畫裡,男性凝視、女性內化被男性凝視的圖像文化。他指 出,「客體化」產生於看與被看之間,男性是帶著威權的觀看者,而女性就是被觀 看的一方,而女人天生的第一任務好像就是讓自己看起來值得「被看」。女性在過 程中內化了男性的標準,一方面也習慣被不斷地觀看。人類在內的一切生物的自然 形象,都是赤裸的(naked),但是裸露 (nude),則是被當作物品般的被觀看。” (黃海榮「男性凝視」與色情)

倪瑞宏畫中人同時被觀看,以及被展示陳列,為了營造視覺上和性慾上的強烈衝擊效果,她們的外表被符碼化,以便使她們看來 帶有「被看性」的內涵,赤裸裸的陳述在數碼世代性與權力更為加劇的結果。
In the work The Tourist Center of Peng-Lai Mountain, the viewer sees a catalogue of women similar to Hyakki Yagyō (or “Night Parade of One Hundred Demons”). The hostess depicted in the fictional, imaginary space in this horizontal scroll satisfy the viewer’s fantasies and needs with their different role-plays and rituals. Pornographic images are typically considered an extension of male gaze.

“In John Berger’s book ‘Way of Seeing,’ he commented that the female nude is a major theme in European classics, a picture culture in which women are internalized by the male gaze. Berger stated that objectification is the result of seeing and being seen. Men are seers with authority, whereas women are seen. Women’s primary goal from birth seems to be making themselves worthy of being seen. In the process, women internalize the men standards, and they become used to being constantly seen. The natural form of all creatures, humans included, is naked. By contrast, nudity reflects being seen as an object.” –Wong Hoi Wing, “Male Gaze and Pornography”

Figures in Ni’s painting are simultaneously seen and put on display. To create a strong visual and sexual impact, the women’s critical parts are hidden to enhance the effect that there is indeed something to be seen. This treatment is a bold statement of the intensified power of this digital era.

如同高羅佩筆下的狄仁傑、倪瑞宏的繪畫文體表現可視為對照東西方獵奇心理、當代女性生活和性別權力的一面鏡子。
Just like the Di Renjie depicted by Robert Hans van Gulik, the painting genre of Ni can be seen as a mirror that reflects the desire to compare the East and the West, the lives of contemporary women, and gender power.
